Getting Started with SwipePoint for Users (Employees)
When using SwipePoint for the first time, install the app, sign in, join your organization, and complete your first clock-in in that order. Available clocking methods and request features depend on your organization's settings.
Before You Begin
- Check that your device meets the minimum requirements: iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15.5 or later; Android phone or tablet with Android 10 or later; or Mac with macOS 12 or later and an Apple M1 or newer chip.
- Prepare a stable internet connection and obtain an invitation code or QR code from your organization administrator.
- Location, camera, and Bluetooth permissions are used only when required by the relevant clocking method. Enable them when requested by your organization and the app.
1. Download the SwipePoint App
Download SwipePoint from an official app store:
Do not download or install the app from an unknown website.
2. Sign In
- On an Apple device, sign in with your Apple Account or LINE.
- On an Android device, sign in with your Google Account or LINE.
- SwipePoint does not create a separate password. Continue using the same sign-in method and account to avoid opening a different, empty account.
- Each user should use their own account. Do not share accounts.
3. Join an Organization
Home > Clock-in Mode > Upper-left menu > Join Organization
On the Join Organization page, enter the invitation code from your administrator or scan the QR code with the SwipePoint app. If the page shows that approval is pending, wait for the organization creator or top-level administrator to review the request. The organization becomes available in your organization list after approval.
4. Clock a Normal Shift
Home > Clock-in Mode > Clock In > Normal Shift > Duty > Clocking Point > Start Work / End Work
- Confirm that the correct organization is selected.
- Tap Clock In, then select Normal Shift.
- Select your duty. If no duty is assigned and the page provides Skip, tap Skip.
- Select the correct clocking point.
- Tap Start Work when beginning work or End Work when finishing work.
- Wait for the success message, then check the result in All Clocking Records if needed.
Before submitting, verify the organization, clocking category, duty, clocking point, and Start Work or End Work action.
5. Overtime and Other Clocking Methods
You do not need to select a duty when clocking overtime:
Home > Clock-in Mode > Clock In > Overtime > Clocking Point > Start Work / End Work
Some organizations require an approved overtime request before overtime is recorded. Follow your administrator's settings. QR code, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth clocking methods also appear according to organization settings; use only the method assigned by your administrator.
Important Notes
- Keep the device connected to the internet and wait for a success message before leaving the page.
- If the device requests location, camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth permission, confirm that it is required for the current clocking method before enabling it.
- If unread announcements, policies, or goals appear when you tap End Work, read and acknowledge them as instructed.
- GPS is used to record the location at the time of clocking. It does not mean the app continuously tracks the user.
- If you are unsure whether the clocking action succeeded, check All Clocking Records before trying again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What should I do if I cannot sign in?
A: Check your internet connection and app version, then confirm that you selected the original sign-in method and account. Use the account recovery process provided by Apple, Google, or LINE for sign-in problems. SwipePoint does not maintain a separate password.
Q2: What should I do if I missed a clocking action or selected the wrong action?
A: For a missed clocking action, go to Home > Clock-in Mode > Make-up Clocking and submit a request. The record is added after approval. If the feature is not visible, your administrator has disabled it. If the current Start Work or End Work state is incorrect, tap More on the clocking page and select the correct state. To change an existing record, use the correction feature shown on the relevant page or contact your administrator.
Q3: Will my existing data disappear when I change phones?
A: Use the same sign-in method and account on the new device. Account data synchronizes after sign-in. An empty account usually means that a different sign-in method or account was selected; sign out and check again. Location, camera, or Bluetooth permissions may need to be enabled again on the new device.
Q4: What should I do if I cannot download or install SwipePoint?
A: Check the operating system version, available storage, and internet connection, and use the official store links on this page. If the store still reports that the device is incompatible or the app is unavailable in your region, contact the SwipePoint team. Do not install the app from an unofficial source.
Q5: What should I do if I have no invitation code or my request is still pending?
A: The organization administrator provides the invitation code or QR code. If approval is still pending, contact the organization creator or top-level administrator. The SwipePoint team cannot approve members on behalf of an organization.
Q6: Why is a clocking button or method unavailable?
A: Normal shift, overtime, make-up clocking, QR code, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth features can be enabled, disabled, or restricted by an administrator. Confirm that the correct organization and duty are selected, then ask your administrator which methods are available.
Q7: How do I start overtime after a normal shift?
A: First complete End Work for the normal shift. Then return to Clock In > Overtime, select a clocking point, and tap Start Work. When overtime ends, select the overtime category again and tap End Work. Complete the request and approval process first if your organization requires an overtime request.
Q8: What should I do if location, Wi-Fi, or QR code clocking fails?
A: Confirm that the required permission, device feature, and internet connection are enabled and that you are within the clocking area set by your administrator. Scan QR codes with the scanner inside the SwipePoint app. If the issue continues, save the error screen and time of occurrence, then contact your administrator or the SwipePoint team.
